Product Description

An opaque scratch off for overprinting on printed images or coated stock of lottery tickets, games, sweepstakes, direct mail coupons, remove easily with fingernails or coin and do not powder.

Substrates

Cards, paper, lottery ticket, foil, styrene.

Caution

Always test ink on substrates prior to production run. Allow 24 - 96 hours after testing to evaluate suitability of intended use.

Thinners

For screenprinting, thin down 5% with SOI-180 Thinner, in hot weather thin down 5% with SOI-182 Slow Thinner.

Wash up

Easy clean up with SOI-184 Wash up.

Coverage

One U.S. gallon (3.79 L.) of SOI inkcan cover about 1500 to 2000 square feet (45 - 50 sq. M.) using a 260 monofilament fabric. Sharpness of squeegee and absorbency of surface will also affect coverage.

Fabric / Stencil

All fabrics are suitable, however, for good opacity, we recommend mesh count between 157 - 260. Fabric finer than 260 may lose opacity on printed stocks. Direct and indirect photostencils or water soluble knife-cut stencils are suitable.

Drying

SOI inks dry by evaporation: 2 hours at room temperature and 20 secinds by air jet heater. When rack drying, make sure to have enough air circulation. Overprint will take longer to dry.

Die-cutting

SOI inks are not suitable for die-cutting because the printed surface may scuff.
